Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy in West Bloomfield

Table of Contents

BHRT can relieve symptoms of hormone imbalance, prevent memory loss, improve cardiovascular health, and bone production, growth and repair.

As you age, your body makes less of certain hormones that are key to quality of life. Testosterone and estrogen imbalances cause issues like hot flashes, night sweats, low sex drive, sleeplessness, and mood changes.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) augments natural hormone production, restoring it to normal levels.

At Forum Health, we use only bioidentical hormones, which are identical to the body’s natural chemistry. You’ll experience many positive changes: improved mood, memory, and ability to deal with stress; more energy; heightened sex drive; deep and restorative sleep. Live your life with zest, energy, and happiness.

Our primary goal is to give our patients as much life, energy, vitality, and drive into their lives as possible!

Hormone replacement therapy for women

Estrogen is responsible for over 400 functions in the body. As women age and the body stops producing eggs, natural production of estrogen and progesterone decreases.

At Forum, our clinicians perform the safest, most effective version of hormone therapy as described by the FDA.¹

Most women will start to experience these changes in hormone levels during their late 40s. This can lead to hot flashes and other problems. Changes in hormones can even affect mood and behavior.²

What are the signs that you need hormone replacement therapy?

  • vaginal dryness
  • bone thinning, or osteoporosis
  • urinary problems
  • thinning hair

  • sleep problems
  • hot flashes and night sweats
  • moodiness
  • lower fertility

  • irregular periods
  • concentration and memory difficulties
  • smaller breasts and an accumulation of fat in the abdomen

Testosterone therapy for men

Andropause, or commonly known as male menopause, is usually triggered by a reduction in hormone levels. During the late teenage years, the male body reaches its peak hormone production, which will gradually decline at a rate of 1-2% per year thereafter. Symptoms of low testosterone (Low-T) typically begin to manifest in men during their mid to late 30s.

At Forum Health, we use BHRT to augment natural testosterone production and restore it to optimal levels.

Getting started with Hormone Replacement Therapy is very easy and convenient. We offer hormone replacement therapy via a few different options that our provider will discuss at your first appointment.
